SAMOA consists of several subsystems:
- A comprehensive Database of economic and financial data.
- A number of Data Importers that maintain the database up-to-date from several sources on a daily basis.
- A set of analytics (CSAnalytics) tightly integrated with the database.
- An open architecture to plug in third party tools like R, Mathematica, Analysis Services, FINCAD, etc.
- A unifying high-level language (SeriesSet) used to program the system. This proprietary language provides an abstraction that is independent from the underlying technologies.
- Several API’s to enable access from Excel, C#, Powershell, Mathematica, and others.
- A unifying Graphical User Interface (GUI) to access the whole system in a-point-and-click fashion.
SAMOA has an open architecture. It allows to plug-in third-party utilities and libraries. Once a plug-in has been added to SAMOA, it integrates seamlessly with the other modules.
